Keep It Together

The first time it happened was when his brother passed away...they didn't seem me standing by the door. The next time was so much more painful because when she walked away, she caused an earthquake that damaged the foundation of his very essence...yet again they didn't seem me hovering around. The third time, well, I suppose we were both to blame for that.

We discussed Obstacle 1, The Power and Running up that Hill. But when speaking about The Fear, we both wept. You...were the pillar of strength and the lighthouse guiding me back. You...continued loving despite her walking away. You...always filled this soul with a love so bright it radiated within.

So when you broke down this third time, it was I who wrapped my loving arms around you no longer hovering in the background. When you couldn't speak the words I always wanted to hear, I comforted you with them. Because of this history, we keep it together. We keep it together because blood is thicker than any other circumstance.
